Sapphire

I’ve had a special project this spring — making wedding jewelry for a beloved niece. And the fortunate thing about that (well, besides the fact that she is so happy) is that I made extra beads as I experimented with my design. From this abundance, the Sapphire Collection was born. The beads are made of translucent clay — deep blue mixed with white — and sparkled up with bits of silver and dark blue foil. I added a resin coating on both the fronts and backs of the beads to make them really shine.

This collection is limited, just six pairs of earrings and one bracelet. But oh my gosh, they are luscious!
